Merrill’s Packaging is pursuing the Safe Quality Food (SQF) Certification to better support our food packaging customers.  As globalization has led to increased demand for food ingredients and raw materials, there is a growing need to ensure food safety, security, and quality throughout the supply chain. The Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) sets internationally recognized standards to ensure consistency and continuous improvement in food safety practices. 

The Safe Quality Food (SQF) is a GFSI-recognized food safety standard that meets their stringent requirements for food safety management systems. SQF provides a rigorous and credible certification program comprised of industry, customer, and regulatory requirements for all sectors of the food supply chain. Achieving SQF certification demonstrates a commitment to quality and safety, enhances credibility and reputation, and opens doors to new business opportunities.
